Miss Brown Languages . . . The language department consists of two basic sections: English and Spanish. The English classes are English 9, English 10, English 11, and English 12. The English teachers are Miss Brown, Miss Cawrse, Mr. Plummer, and Mr. Reed. There are two Spanish classes, Spanish I and Spanish II, which are taught by Mr. Chamberlain. After two years of Spanish, a student will be able to read and speak Spanish. Ninth graders study hard. Doesn ' t anyone know? Tenth grade students at work. 10

. . . and Mathematics Mathematics classes include Math 9, Algebra Ii, solid geometry, and trigonometry. They are taught by Mrs. McCarron, Mr. Teichow, and Mr. Davidson. Math 9 or algebra is required of all freshmen. In plane geometry students learn axioms, definitions, and theorems. Algebra II is an extension of Algebra I. Solid geometry is a study of three dimen- sional objects Trig is the study of the basic functions of triangles. Mrs. McCarron Who’s Euclid? Algebra students puzzle? Where is everybody? Mr. Teichow Mr. Teichow gives his help. 9

. . . and Forensics Forensics class is composed of two parts. The first semester is devoted to debate. This year our team finished in second place in the Blue Water Forensics League. The Varsity Debaters are Dan Giardina, Robert MacDonald, Kay Connors, and Sandra Williams. Orations, declamations, extemporaneous speaking, and humorous and interpretive readings comprise the second semester. Rest and relaxation’ Kay, read louder!
