PteUdesd ' A Addbe l Good evening, Ladies and Gentlemen. We of the graduating class feel honored to have you, our friends and relatives, hei-e tonight. It doesn’t seem possible that the time has finally come for us to graduate from high school. I, for one, have looked forward to this evening for several years, and I am sure the rest of the class has done so, too. To some of us this night may mean a job in a factory or some similar occupation. To others it may mean further education in colleges and universities in different parts of the country or right here in Michigan. Some of the members of our class have plans for getting married, and others have plans for entering the military service to perform their duty to their country. But whatever the future holds, I am sure my class- mates will be a success in their choice because of the fine teaching and guidance we have received from our parents and teachers in the last twelve years. Not only have we learned to be good scholars, but we have also learned to be good citizens. At this time we should like to thank everyone who has made it possible for us to reach our first big goal in life, graduation from high school. Robert Peavler GlaU Poem Remember when we ventured out Into this world ' s vast field; We didn ' t know what to expect Or what our life would yield; We had our fun; we studied hard; We tried to do our best So that we would be prepared To meet a greater test. And now we ask ourselves — Have we done anything grand? Have we done anything momentous? Have we lent a helping hand? Maybe not any more than any other, But still we like to think That in this chain of life We ' ve been one necessary link. -Pauline Emig Class Motto If you can ' t find a way, make one.
