FQREWORD The trend in producing yearbooks has been to dispense with the huge blocks of uninteresting copy and to concentrate on filling the allot- ted pages with as many story-telling pictures as possible. ln this fortieth edition of the Orian we have endeavored to comply with this trend, to give you the maximum of picture area, iust enough copy to explain the pictures, and leave the rest of the page in eye-pleasing white space. ln this manner we hope to fulfill our purpose of making this a memory book, something you can look through in ten years and live again the enioyable and educational times that have made this, indeed, a year to remember. This is our picture story of Marietta High School, the 1959 Orian. llll iff with:-'i 'JF f Ng,.:f-f1-,aj.-.,- 31 in 'S , ' 4' .- bi ,.A , gan Qtlsthz 1 5- W . ., ' . ,saw-F scxigqgrggfg 5 q i , ftp- 1l.1L.
