An apple a day --- I want my dolly!!! SERVICE is our main goal. Our group had a rummage sale at the Mercantile which we decorated. Santa Claus was there to add color and excitement. The funds we raised were used to go to the District meeting on October 18, and the State Convention on April 2 Sz 3. Our Community Project was a Senior Citizen's Home. We made curtains and cleaned the home. Some of the girls had a lot of fun painting. After we finished the home it looked great and it felt good that we had done something for somebody else. In order to be in FHA you have to have taken one year of Home Economics. Boys and girls can be in FHA. The officers of FHA are as follows: President, Margaret Traylorg Vice-President, Hilda Gomezg Secretary, Berta Myersg Treasurer, Kathy Carpenter. Our sponsor is Miss DeRose. The reason that we are here is to help people, and do services for others. We are people who care about what goes on around us and try to better it and to better ourselves. In being a member of the FFA there is much to learn, for instance, the memorization of the official FFA creed which is five paragraphs long, and the procedure of getting familiar with the historical portion of the club. Along with learning parliamentary pro- cedure, in order to have orderly meetings, is the many helpful hints learned from crop raising, livestock production and work exper- imental programs. Some of the many fund raising activities our club has done are concession stands, movies, and something new to this area called a member auction. The officers were Debbie Pratt, Presi- dent, Bret Honeycutt, Secretary, Karen Richmond, Treasurer, Loren Pratt, Sentinel, Grant Ware, Reporter, Jeff Kirkland, Student Advisor 8z Historian, Mark Daugherty, Par- liamentarian.
