LETTERME ' TRY H RDER Initiation - a word feared by some and enjoyed by others. To the new members of the Lettermen's Club it means an hour and a half of some of the most gruesome, and painful torture anyone could imagine. To the present members of the club it represents a night of getting revenge and taking out frustration. Eventually it all ends well. You can expect the initiated members back in the swing of things, after a week or so of getting over the blood blisters and bruises which are a consequence of the event. Also, you can expect the new members to be ready to take part in the next year's initiation. The Lettermen's Club does more than bring in new members. For instance, the group takes part in many money raising activities such as the Christmas Tournament which almost left the club penniless. The Lettermen's Club did some different things recently by selling ski caps and sponsoring an entertaining event called Donkey President Troy calls roll Jeff Bentley, Here, Robert Muraira, basketball. We are looking for new ways to bring out the spirit of the school. We sold small hand pom-pons and basketball clip-on pins with the saying YOU CAN'T STOP THE RAMS printed on them. Pep club members were in charge of picking up wood for the Homecoming bon-fire and pep rally, which was held the Thursday before Homecoming. We had a snake walk through town and yelled cheers and chants. Ms. DeRose was a great sponsor. She is always at our activities and aways has great ideas. Our officers were a wild bunch. Berta Myers was president. Our vice-president was Shirley Grantham. Tammy Hancock was secretary and our treasurer was Teresa Rodriquez. 9 ? , is-45 SQ- 'flew' ,sl sw 'gffkvzrffgigf 1. w 'iz' .Q Wa HS... 4 4- 'NE C'- 4, .Y - HS 31-R P 'iii 99' , Q., ,4.i,g,:5it,,.w,gS.g,.,.ga1r.e74:,,i-:gg-gtgiflb-,. fi .pf--4, l. 3,-.
