A dedicated teacher and friend who gave of herseU' to this class throughout our high school years. From her example, we have learned the importance of patience, understanding, respect, and love. Miss Hart, we offer this very special thank you for all your concern, your care, your time, and your love. Our appreciation may have been hard to see at times, but it was, and is, there, and we love you very much. As life leads us on our separate paths, know that you will always hold a special place in our hearts. Au revoir and God bless you. Love, Your Class of 1982 4 2 'Z Y , IN MEMORIAM Reverend Paul Charpentler Four years ago, September 1978, we came together, the Class of 1982, and a new Headmaster. We had high expectations for the coming school years, greeted new students, new staff and forged a relationship based on a mutual goal: quality education in a christian environment. The years have passed rapidly, we have seen classmates leave and have welcomed new students. Each year presented new challenges. The Class of 1982 met the academic challenge head on, achieved goats established by individual students, as well as the collective goal of graduation. The Class of 1982 witnessed a renewed interest in Marianhiil by citizens of the neighboring communities, and the additional students changed the complexion of the school. There were more younger students entering as the class passed through their four years of attendance, adding a new vitality to the school. The passing of some traditions and the creation of new ones were not always greeted with enthusiasm, but accepted. The change in staff mem- bers was not always a pleasant experience. Relationships once estabw lished were broken and new ones had to be developed. The peaks and valleys we passed through together, the periods of happiness and sadness, the successes and failures, all reflect the world that the Class of 1982 entered, A world that needed individuals dedi- cated to the tenets of your christian faith. Live your faith as we have tried to demonstrate it to you, as we have taught you, and as you have seen it practiced at home. jr' 'V if tr Mrs. Juliette Archambault Mr. James N. M. R 5 R d A g S b M 0 5 5 F d M g T I O J K 109 Class prophecy by Eric Morin The year is 1994 and Miss Hart, who had retired after '82, has decided to take a year to go on a trip. As she was deciding where to go, she came up with the decision to travel to her favorite place of all, Paris. She arrived in Paris on a nice spring day, ready to hit the streets for a good day of sightseeing. About mid-day she decides to go visit the art museum, and lo and behold she came upon one of her old students, John Healy! When asked what he is doing in an art museum, John replies, I own the place . Miss Hart and John start to reminisce about their good times at old M.H.S. and decide to see if they can locate all the students from the class of 1982. As John brings Miss Hart to the airport in his Porshe, he gets in an accident and they have to go to the local hospital in Paris. As they enter the emergency room to get a few stitches, they can't be- lieve their eyes, two beautiful nurses by the names of Diane and Tami approach them. John and Miss Hart look at each other and they can't believe it! It's Diane Stasior and Tami Sullivan. They then tell them of their plan to locate the class of '82. Diane and Tami agree, and then the multi-millionaire, John Healy, has to board his plane to go back to the states to search for the rest of the class. Once they arrive in the states, the four of them decide to go out for a night on the town in Los Angeles. They enter this nightclub called Michele's and would you believe who owns it? It's Michele Faford! Miss Hart, John, Diane and Tami are simply amazed. They tell Michele of their plan and she says she thinks that she might know where some people are. She then leads them to ITT Technical Institute where she heard that Mike Moriarty was involved in in- venting Mr. Know-It-All, a computer which can be your companion for life and do all that you tell it to do. Well, she was right, and Mike decided to put Mr. Know-It-All on hold for awhile and join the gang. Now there were six 110 people involved in this caper. John decided that it would be a good idea to invest all their money, for it may take a while to find everyone. Thumbing through the yellow pages, he was astonished to find the Associates of Hitch- cock and Coughlin. Oh no! Could it be? He rushes to the phone and lo and behold he was right! It's MaryJane Hitchcock and Sheila Coughlin. Being well off them- selves, M.J. and Sheila invest all of their money and de- cide to go on with the old '82 gang. When they arrive and hellos are exchanged, they have some interesting news. They had heard through the finance reports that the ac- counting firm of Tremblay and Tarquinio of New York had just gone to court for eight counts of bribery and four counts of embezzlement. Well, everyone quickly packed their bags to head on to New York and they are just in time. Paul Tremblay and Franco Tarquinio are just about to be sentenced, when Miss Hart steps in and becomes a surprise witness. She tells everyone how good these boys were in high school, and with a little bribe from John, the judge finds them both not guilty on all twelve counts. Overwhelmed, Paul and Franco burst into tears and run to Miss Hart. Hugs and kisses are in order, and then Paul and Francojoin the gang on their expedition. While walk- ing out of the courthouse, all of our friends run into an- other member of the class of '82. It is Margaret Bart- kiewicz. Margaret tells us she's married and it looks it! She tells us that she's pregnant and it wasn't hard to believe, she looked about in her ninth month and she was! She fainted right in front of all our gang and we rushed her to the hospital. John decided to get the best pediatrician around and he was told that Dr. Yvon is the one. John couldn't believe what he heard! He called Norm Yvon M.D. and Norm rushed in to deliver Margaret's baby. After this ordeal, Miss Hart explained to Norm and Mar- garet the plan. Since Margaret's husband was away on business and Norm had nothing else to do, they joined the increasing gang in the search for the class of '82. But, before they leave New York, Norm gives them some valu- able info. They then head down to General Hospital and walk into the research room. And there is Diana Raven- elle, working ever so hard on a new vaccine to cure the vicious disease, Video Game Neurosis. She decides to let it be for awhile, and she gives us some more information. She tells us that John Dion and Debra Wesgan are work- ing right upstairs in the Med. Tech. Lab. As we walk in on them, John and Debbie are very busy trying to figure out how the wheel chair operates. Since they are baffled, they decide to pack up and go on the expedition. Now that there are only nine people left to find and nobody knows where they are, Miss Hart bursts out with some new news as she reads a newspaper. Under the arti- cle about how the Polish farmers love to eat Golumkies, is the name of Charlene Lavallee. Could it be? A quick call to the New York Times certifies that Miss Hart's hunch is right. It is Charlene Lavallee and she also decides to join the gang. Charlene is a big plus. She tells us that while covering that story on the Polish farmers, she learned that the Navy and the Marines had landed an attack force on a little islandjust south of Korea. Trouble had been going on there for years and the U.S. had decided to send its best forces. The general in charge of the Navy was none other than Vern Shores. Our gang decided to go to Washington, to see what the problem was. Vern found out that his old high school buddy, E.J., had been sent in the first boat which had invaded the island a week ago. Vern then went, with all of the members of the class of '82 who had been reunited, on the quickest plane to Korea to see if E.J. was alive. First, they checked the death list and no Eric, then they checked the hospitals and in the psychiatric ward lies Eric staring at the walls. Then they take Eric back to the states to get him some help. As they arrive at U. Mass. Medical Center to get him the best psychiatric help, they don't believe their eyes! Terri Cos- tello is there and she is the head of the psycho ward at the hospital. She gives Eric expert help. He is fully recovered except for his speech. John says that he'll spend all the money he can to get Eric help. He turns to the yellow pages to look for a speech therapist. And would you be- lieve it? He finds that back in Southbridge, Mass. is a speech therapist called Mary Croke. They all travel to Southbridge and meet Mary at Harrington Memorial Hospital. Mary quickly cures Eric of his speech disabil- ities. Now there are only four people left to be found. Mary tells us all that we need to know. As the caravan of cars heads towards Woodstock Road, they are greeted in the driveway of the most beautiful home in Southbridge by Karin Tremblay and Jayne Beaudry who are shocked to see all of their old Senior Class members. After a quick tour of the 57 room house, Mary then tells everyone about the two remaining people, Lisa and Chris. Mary decides to let us see for ourselves. As we head down toward M.H.S., we are surprised to see six high rise buildings. It looks like Marianhill is a city within itself. As we decide to drop in at our old Alma Mater, we are all thrown into a state of shock as Dean Winters meets us in the front. He gave us a quick tour, and then we ran into Mrs. Lisa Winters, formerly Michaud. We all sat around the 2000 seat cafeteria and chatted about old times. The reunion was great and in a few days all of the members of the class of '82 went back on their merry way, knowing that someday they might meet again. 111 Qu - '-4 ,- x X 9 . xc l.
