Fd' United Mdrdi Gross efforts keep tradition of success Since the Mardi Gras became a teen-ager this year, it Was allowed to keep later hours. Thus the 13th annual cleebration lasted from 11 a.m. until midnight. For Weeks previous, students, parents and faculty were busy in preparations. Raffle tickets Were sold on cash prizes and a 'cbasket of cheer. The home economics department filled hampers with breads, cookies and mouth-Watering doughnuts. Original hand crafts were executed for theWhim in Fancy booth, White elephants were rescued for the flea market. On the day itself, freshmen rose to their traditional duty of feeding the ravenous multitudes. Sophomores and upperclassmen operated games in the gym and third corridor.
