Tl Struggle gives man a reason for living. It presents him with a chal- lenge. While man grasps to complete a task, he may experience a deep depression, but, gradually, he sees possibilities and, motivated by these possibilities, he continues to search for a solution. Each discovery, even if only partial, exhilarates him. This constant dissatisfaction with the imperfect and desire for perfection are essential parts of manis life. The student, becoming suddenly aware of this, finds that he must struggle to create order around himself and in himself. He struggles to create this interior order by striving to gain maturity. At the same time, be utilizes his abilities to join the disjoined, to end havoc, to perfect the imperfect in the World around himself. The World, in its defective state, invites the student to perfect it. It makes him try to do his best. il Signs of this struggle can be found in every phase of school life. The sweat dripping down a football player's face in thirty-degree weather signifies the struggle in the field. A would-be dancer falls again and again while trying to improve ber pirouette.
