DRAMA CLUB Natural hams and theatre lovers from all grades weekly headed to the North 40 for the Thursday pic- nics, also known as Drama Club meetings, in C-32, Having only been chartered as a club last year, this year's troupe began a program. After writing a constitution, plans were made to perform the lighthearted songs, Christmas Chopsticks and the Twelve Days After Christmas as well as a one-act play entitled The Perfect Gift by Graham Dubois at the Christmas assembly, March brought the PTG fashion show as another opportunity for student talent to show itself, But most of the year was spent anxiously preparing George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart's Pulitzer- prize winning play, You Can't Take It with You, which was set for May. 1 . The newest club, initiated by the students, this year on i Q campus was the Spanish Club, The Club's purpose was to motivate the student body of M.H.S, to appreciate and learn more about the culture and language of all Hispanic countries. Their goal was ta broaden students' cultural horizons and outlooks with the idea that they will learn the importance of the Latino culture.
