One ol lhe lirsl evenls oi lhe year was lhe freshman inilialion. lnduclees proved lheir desire lor membership by performing various leals, ranging from rolling oranges wilh lheir noses lo proposing lo an ollicer in Lilhuanian. Members ollen offered lheir services and parlicipaled in Lilhuanian evenls, including operas, leclures, and plays. Olher aclivilies sponsored by The club, included The Annual Chrislmas parly and observance ol Lilhu- anian Independence Day on February I6. This club, which ii was open To all LaTin sTudenTs was devoTed To exploring The lives and worlcs oT The many Tamous Roman scholars. Through Their en- ioymenT oT LaTin versions oT Tamiliar slciTs, sTories and songs, The members learned ThaT The someTimes TorgoTTen Tongue oT Cicero. Caesar, and Vergil can s+ill be a lively one. Visual aides give lheir assislance by work- ing lhe lighls, spols, and sound eguipmenl lor all school programs.
