Three concerts keep choruses occupied Pracficing fheir flufes for fhe Chrisfmas concerf are: Carol Coffer, Susan Oczlcowslci and Sally Sellman. Music plays an imporfanf role in fhe cul- fural developmenf of a sfudenf. Chorus classes fhis year devofed fime fo music ap- preciafion as well as fhe usual arf of blend- ing voices in song. The orchesfra confinued ifs worlc under fhe direcfion of lvlr. Ki Joo Lee. Long hours of pracfice. bofh by fhe chorus and orchesfra, were rewarded by fhe performances presenfed by fhese groups. The cusfomary Chrisfmas concerf was held fhe evening of December 22. Parficipanfs were Maria's freshman and advanced cho- ruses ioined by Sf. Rifa High School's chorus and our orchesfra. Tradifional yulefide carol- ing was also performed af hospifals and in- sfifufions by a group of chorus members. Affer fhe firsf of fhe year, pracfice for fhe upcoming Spring Concerf dominafed fhe lives of choral and orchesfra members.
