The Student Council is an organization for all of the students. It has charge of all ath- letic organizations and supports the publication of the Log and Megaplzozze. The council is made up of live officers and a representative from each class. This year each representative has an alternate to help him. Other years we have had two representatives from each class. Problems are brought before the council and discussed. The decisions are reported to the homerooms to be dis-cussed. The following week at the council meeting the representatives vote as the homerooms have instructed. lligh school students are urged to buy a Student Association ticket. ln this way they become paid up members of the Student Council. They can go to parties and dances sponsored by the council, and attend all the athletic events at reduced rates. This year the offices are held by the following people: Peter Hill-President, Robert Huhbelle-Yice Presidentg Helen Birdsall-Treasurerg Kathleen Hillriegel- Secretary 3 Dorissa Van Benschoten-Business Manager. These people were elected hy popular vote. The president is elected from the Senior Class, vice-president from the Freshman class, the treasurer from the junior Class and the secretary from the Sophomore Class. This year the Council has discussed and taken action on many problems affect- ing the Student body. We hope to have a Spring Dance. 29
