The game was nip and tuck all the way as Marfa scored two safeties, The game ended with the Short- horns on the Sanderson two-foot line. MARFA 33, FABENS 6 With improved blocking, the Shorthorns marched 78 yards the first time they got the ball and were never threatened throughout the game. Marfa led, 20-0, at the half. Jimenez circled end for the winning point, Sam was named Back of the Week by the El Paso Times for his outstanding plays in this game. MARFA 41, McCAMEY 6 The Shorthorns lambasted the McCamey Badgers, unexpectedly, by a score of 41-6, In pre-game dope the teams were rated evenly, but the Marfans made a runaway of the game.
