Nothing tastes better than SlU.rPU when I left the radio station 1 was surprised to find it raining. I ran under the awning at a department store window and found that they were advertising Smirk Lipstick. A toll man with black harr and brown eyes came out and holding up a tube of lipstick recited this little verse. In ten beautiful shades it comes to you In brown, orange and purple too, Buy a little tube, just to see If the boys you know don't agree And if its kissin' ycu're missin' and thet's enough Come in tomorrow and buy some of this good stuff. It wasn't until after after he finished that I noticed it WHS Charleo Hee- It was certainly a change from the tree I used to know. It had stopped raining so I started to cross the street. I was half- way' across when I saw a huge black car almost upon me. I tried to move, but I couldn't. I just couldn't get away from that car. I awoke with a start. I was flinging my arms wildly. I felt a little foolish after I realiged I was just dreaming. I 'was surprised to find it was no la tnr than 7:50. I was just going to read the paper when I remembered the Hog Creek Barn Dgncen was in town and i1 I hurried I could catch the last show which S13-arf-ed It 8200- I arrived a few minutes late but spent a very enjoyable evening. The last song that was sang will forever ring in my ears. It was sung by the Tipsy Trio which consisted of Martha Tower, Freddie Huffman, and Kenneth Clark. The name of the song was Guzzler's Wine and it was sang so realistically that I could hardly stagger home after the show, so I called a taxi-cab to take me home. when it arrived I noticed something familiar about the driver. After I had fone a little ways I decided to ask who she was, because since the war there hadn't been many skirted cab-drivers and this must be something special. When I had the conversation started she infcmmed me that she used to attend Marengc High School. Being one Uf the graduates of M. H. S I was very much sur- prised to find our she was one of my old classmates Betty Ruth Chtt. She told me she was married five years ago to a handsome and dashing young lochinmar from the west by the name of Dogg, and have three children by the names of Spitza, Mitza, and Dennis. But the sad part Of the whole thing is that she is planning to sue for divorce as soon as the child- ren are in school. Gan you imagine how this would look in the Newspapers GATT vs. DOG! So, in conclusion I was delighted to realize that I had renewed friendship with all my old classmates of 1947, and was surprised to find that they all had escaped the Penal Farm, Insane Asylum and Alcatraz and was disappointed that not one had achieved the position of President, but I still have hopes that someday one cf them will ettein that position.
