Sophomore +3 from We ff AZ! , .. . , X .1 , A..,,,, , The Sophomore football team showed considerable improvement and character during the l984 season. After a disappointing loss to rival Harvard in the season opener I4-6 the Sophomores came back to beat richmond 2I-8 in another non-conference game. ln the Northwest Suburban Conference their record of 4 wins 2 losses and I tie included a season finale 23-20 win over an impressive Round Lake team. Over the course of the season Marengo outscored its opponents IO7 to 72 and outgained its opponents ISI2 yards to l455 yards. Thirty two sophomores completed the season, each contributed to the team's success and each improved as an athlete and as a person Coach Schmid l Wiiii , Y P2 T - f 1 .
