'sis Allen, pres. DECA is an anachronism for Distributive Education Clubs of America, It is a student organization that studies marketing and distributive techniques. Some of the club events included a co-sponsored dance with Lewisville High School and a large banquet in the spring. The officer installation was on December 20. 164 VOCT Witil' CVAE is the only Co-op class on the Marcus campus at this time. Another name for it is the Hwork program. The students in this class attend class 4 periods a day and receive credit for the other two for working at jobs in the community. They may work at any job and currently students are employed in a range of jobs from the fast foods to a funeral home. There is also a club that is an integral part of the class. lt is called VOCT. This year the students adopted a needy family at Christmas time and provided gifts and the Christmas meal for them. They also had a Christmas gift exchange and pizza party before the Christmas break.
