They participated in selling M8.M's, having a Christmas party for teachers, releasing helium balloons, sponsoring canned goods drive, and competing at state meetings. This year's meeting was held in Dallas. In May, the FHA and HERO combined and honored outstanding members with a dance, The FHA sponsors are Ms. Friend, Ms. Carpentar, Ms. Mears, and Ms. Bahr. The FHA has accomplished some really classical work this year. Q-we 'Nl at, -:?'-:f f ,??'.f,' ff-iii: Girls learning valuable skills P.E,L.E. iPrefEmployment Laboratory Experiencel - A child care program. The sponsor is Ms. Bahr, Three days a week these out- standing students go to an elementary school or Day care for two hours. This organization is opened to both male and female during the first and second periods ofa school day. ln order to be a member you must be a sophomore and meet the application requirements. 'sis Allen, pres. DECA is an anachronism for Distributive Education Clubs of America, It is a student organization that studies marketing and distributive techniques. Some of the club events included a co-sponsored dance with Lewisville High School and a large banquet in the spring. The officer installation was on December 20.
