There are 20 members for each class and four officers. The Marcus Student Council attends conventions and participates in public service proiects. The Council sponsors Teacher Appreciation Week, special events at Christmas and valentines Day, bought the traveling sign for the Commons area, and enters various competitions in the state. These students have been chosen from the student body based on their grades, citizenship, honor, courage in themselves. They maintain an overall average of 90 percent or better. During the year, the National Honor Society participates in many service projects to benefit the organiza- tion itself, the school, and most importantly, the community. On teacher in-service day some of these students spent two hours helping teachers grade and prepare for the following semester. Sponsors of this outstanding group are Ms. Clair Mullins and Ms. Annette Horne.
