Homecommg On Thursday evening, October 16, tne Homecominb Festivities were started wlth a Pep Rally Mrs John Leavitt crowned the royalty, Queen Jldy Mead and King Kirk Evans The homecoming attendants were Judy Laws, Rodney Oaren, Joyce Walker, Jim Pearson, Sandra Dorr, and Jon Meyer oarol Gates and Richard Carey were tne crownbearers Ilo Brownmlller sang 'Sweet and Lovely Superlntendent Dory and hrs Leavitt both gave encouraging pep talks The neighborhood kids presented a musical number, 'Betty Co ed' A skit was given by two seniors, the football boys, and their coach and manager The cheerleaders led the school in some cheers Keith Cates was the master of ceremonies On the followin Friday afternoon the band led the Homecomin, Parade down Main Street The winning floats were as follows JlPlOFS were flrst, Freshmen came in second, Seniors placed third, and the Sophomores placed fourth During the half tlme of the game, the Marcus Band gave a very different and en oyable show for the public +0- ' I -., L- v-,,V,: , ,: 1a.ri- f ...iw b H -- '.', 7 5 '. -L E T' ., T' I '72 ' - aff Sponsored by Anderson's Cafe

Jumor Class Play -auf' V Time Out For Ginger The junior class play, nTime Out For Ginger was a light hearted comedy based on the Broadway hit of the same name It was hilarious but also human, warm, and touching How rd Carol, a fairly staid banker, needed some sort of creative release and found it in lecturing to local high school classes on the need for self fulfillment It quickly developed however, that one of his daughters, Ginger, had been verv much impressed by her father's exhortations She had further decided that her own true fulfillment could best be realized by going out for the football team A number of complications result the father's Job is jeopardized because the bank president doesn't approve, the g1rl's elder sisters insist that their social life has been blighted especially Joan whose boy friend is captain of the football team, and the girl football player herself finds that playing football and being a girl aren't always compatible, particularly when her own boy friend disapproves of what she's doing After a number of riotous mishaps, the play ended on a happily tender note with the whole family going out to see one of the older sisters in the high school play, Ginger escorted by her reconciled boy friend The Cast Lizzie, the maid.... .... .. ...Ruth Umhoefer Agnes Carol.................... ...Darlene Miller Howard Carol.................... . ...David Kllngborg Joan, their daughter, age l8..... . ...Mary Ann Miller Jeannie, their daughter, age l6............ ...Marilee Gates Ginger, their daughter, age lll................ ...Judy Dorr Eddie Davis, an athlete, Joan's boy friend.... ...Barry Grauer Tommy Green, Ginger's boy fr1end............... ...Tom Garvin Mr. wilson, the high school principal. ........ .. ...Dick Letsche Ed Hoffman, bank president, Howard Carol's boss... ...Vernon Johnson 0 , -,- . ., v- K 4 A.
