Taylor Service Clubs Serve Students Successfully Girls in the Hostess Class are the official school hostesses. They learned sewing skills by making their dresses, and act as guides whenever needed at school events. They also have had a good time planning, preparing, and serving Iuncheons and dinners for visiting school guests and fo special functions. The major project the Industrial Arts Service Class undertook this year was the benches in the main patio between the 200 and 300 buildings. Other accomplishments included setting up the volleyball poles, and many other minor projects. Art Service decorates for all school dances. They participated in a window painting contest fo Christmas in which Kurt Valore and Jim Strong won first prize. Brian Patterson, an outstanding artist, painted a mural in the nurse's office and in the teacher's lounge. He also won 2nd prize in the Bicentennial Art contest. The group also painted two Bicentennial kiosks depicting the past 200 years in San Juan Capistrano. They do the posters for advertising all school activities. lVlrs Evelyn Fernandez sponsored Art Service this year. 'S 'Q fl-929 , i Kgv- f ,rl Ah! Gotcha, Connie Paulsen serious, for once.
