Portia Wintebourne The roar of laughter at the student-faculty basketball game. . .running along the sand on the Spanish field trip. . . nervousness of candidates for ASB offices at the assembly. . . change of dress for the old fashioned day to celebrate the return of the swallows. . . the Christ- mas dance. . . all these are part of the memories from the passing year. As the school days went on, I realized how con- fused one really is. . . so many decisions to be made. Changed feelings, strange moods, wondering about all that surrounded me. I saw a change in myself, my friends, and fellow students. Idiscovered the answers to many problems, but in other ways I be- came even more bewildered. The year has now come to a close, I feel I will leave more of an indi- vidual. When we leave our junior high, we shall never return; yet, a part of us will remain.
