CLASS HISTORY As Freshmen, first of all, we were initiated. During the year we had a class party and sponsored an Easter Dance. This year began the sports career of both our boy and girl enthusiasts. President, Maybelle Reiff, Vice-President, Jerry Adams, Secretary, Leo Schmidt: Treasurer, Merle Hass: Class Advisor, Mrs. Kirby, Representatives, Doris Jean Weaver and Donald Kirby. First on our calendar for this year was the initiation of the Freshmen. Our class was the first to invite the whole high school to the initiation dance. We joined the Juniors and went caroling and sponsored the Christmas Dance, The Sno-Ba1l. President, Frances Zaleskig Vice-President, June McNeal, Secretary, Doris Jean Weaver, Treasurer, Lynn Shoemaker, Class Advisor, Miss Mason, Representatives, Jerry Adarns and Ellen Weirich. As Juniors we were becoming more aware of the slimness of our treasury, so de- cided to sell cokes at the football, basketball and baseball games. Again with the help of the Sophomores, we sponsored a Christmas Dance, Winter Wonderland. We had an or- chestra for the Iirst time, and also a Santa Claus, which made our party complete. We also sponsored a Valentine Dance. In March we presented a play, The Late Mr. Ear1y, which was a big success. We departed from the regular tradition by having our banquet and Prom on separate nights. President, Jerry Adams, Vice-President, Leo Schrnidtg Secretary, Joan Gyllstromg Treasurer, Mary Rumseyg Class Advisor, Miss Elliot, Representatives, Joyce Jensen and Willard Robins on. As dignified Seniors, we started our last year in high school by presenting the play, The Big Surprise. Again this year we reserved the right to sell coke at the games. We sponsored a Donkey Basketball game and a Cake Walk. Reservations have been made for graduation cruise to Niagara Falls. President, Janette Parmeter: Vice-President, Donald Kirby, Secretary, John Pletcherg Treasurer, Willard Robinson, Class Advisor, Miss Tait: Representatives, Mar' Rumsey and Kenny Kline. 13
