Basketball Game s The last game of the season was aga1nst Wentworth at Lex1ngton The cadets dldn t need any owertxme per1ods uns 'mme Flnal score was 50 24 n favor of the cadets Not to be overlooked was our very successful second team The boys won l2 and lost only to Wentworth They scored a total of 326 agalnst then' opponents 194 All the boys played excellent basketball all the way The school and town are proud of them Marcelme won s1x games and lost eleven dur1ng the basketball season RA! ZER CLUB The Razzer Club organ1Led 1n September had a member-sh1p of p crease the number of cheerleaders from four to su: Those elected by the club were Reve Mendenhall Glor1a Fox Norma Santus Dorothy Maddex Norma O Ne1l and Mona I-hse The off1cers elected were Gladys V1SSCI'1I1g pre s1dent and Reve Men denhall secretary The Razzer cheerlng section at all the football games was well fllled w1th g1rls loudly procla1m1ng the v1rtues of the Nlarcehne team The cheerleaders also led yells at the basketball games Cheerleader unlforms CODS1Sted of black pleated sklrts black and gold revel Slble Elsenhower Jackets and black and gold beames 62 . 1 v . . BASKETBALL GAMES The 'ligers started the season with a loud bang by defeatm Rothvill 22 Z0 in a non conference game Red Holt was high point man The next game was against Chillicothe This was our fir st confer ence game The Hornets swamped the Tigers Z5 ll Pender son and Engel hard tied for high po1nt man Next came our old enemy Brookfield The Bulldogs went home n the short end of a Z8 25 score Chuck Stephenson was high po1nt man We next journeyed to Iviacon to play a non conference game The T1 gers turned on the power and easily won 43 Z2 Pender son was high point man The team then entered the Bucklln tournament Our f1r st game was against 1..ac1ede which we won 24 10 Pender son was high point man The next afternoon our hopes of winning the tournament were sma shed by Bucklin who beat us 20 18 Red Holt was high point man After the game the Tigers drove to M1lan to play a conference game For the second time that day the Tigers were defeated by the score of Z0 18 Penderson was high poxnt man third place The boys from Ethel proved to be too much for us and we lost 45 21 Pender son was high polnt man Again we left home This t1me to play Trenton in a conference game The T1g9TS came out on the short end of a Z8 l8 score Stephenson was high po1nt man At last we were back on our home court Th1s t1me to play Wentworth 1n an important conference game Three over tame periods were needed by Wentworth to wln 43 41 Pender son was high point man For the second tlme we were playing Chillicothe The Hornets were in fine shape and won 24 12 We next played in the Chillicothe invitational tournament and were defeated by Cameron 37 19 Again the Tigers left home This time to play Brookfield For the second t1me this year we defeated the Bulldogs The score th1s t1me was 16 Our next game was with Milan here But again the Wildcats defeated the Tigers Final score 32 Z8 Again we played the strong Trenton team and again we lost by ten points Score 36 Z6 Our next engagement was a non conference game with Rothville Ev erybody played excellent basketball and we won 39 17 61 H ' ES ' 6 H t O The following night we returned to Bucklin, this time to play Ethel for 14.
