F' F A BARNWARMING The 1nv1tat1ons for the barnwarmlng November 16 were made of corn husks tled together at the end The 1nv1ta11on was on a p16C6 of paper 1ns1de the husks The barnwarmmg started at emght o clock To get 1ns1de the gymnas mm one had to go through a tunnel made of baled straw One mad to go up a ladder and go through a wagon bed that was ly1ng on top of the baled straw Steps were made of bales of straw to the floor E1ght games or h1tches were played w1th a d1fferent partner for each ln the f1r st h1tch two boys scattered peanuts over the floor and the couple that got the most won The second h1tch was a mllk bottle race Each couple had to hold hands and roll the mllk bottle across the floor w1th two stlcks The thlrd h1tCh was d1V1ded 1nto two groups Each one had to hold the rlght hand of the per son sltting next to hlm They they had to pass a number of sprkes along the l1ne w1t.hout lettlng go In the fourth h1tch the couples had to hold hands and shuck an ear of corn The players w-ho got throughflr st won Next shps of paper were passed out that had the name of an an1mal prxnted on them and each person had to 1m1tate the ammal that was wrxtten on h1s shp of paper The games contmued to the e1ghth h1tch and then refreshments were served whlch were 1ce cream and cookxes The Judge chose Mary Lou Spencer as the barnwarmlng queen Fr1day November 30 the flrst all school soc1al of the year was held 1n the M H S audltorlum sponsored by the senlor class The theme for the decoratlon chosen by the semors was that of the trlumphant return of the bell Multl colored crepe paper streamers formed a false ce1l1ng above the heads of the dancers and large placards hung on the curtaln reported the scores of all e1ght games of the season rn black and Whlfli Center of attractlon was the bower of black and gold crepe paper hung from the basketball goal at the north end of the audltorlum Wlllh black and gold streamers covering backetball mat ln the bower was the wooden steps on each step the name of a T1ger v1ctory and at the top of the steps was the bell On the whlte background beh1nd the steps were the words Co Champ1on Refreshments served Were punch chocolate m1nts and cup cakes JUNIOR DANCE At the all school soc1al Frlday February 22 sponsored by the mem bers of the Jumor class the theme was the favor1te events ln the hie of George Wash1ngton On the curtaln was hung an Amer1can flag at each endof the aud 1tor1u1r1 was placed the green scenery and 1n the center of the dance floor was carr1ed out the story of George havlng cut down the cherry 11-ee Most of the g1rls were seen w1th a red hatchet adorn1ng the1r su1ts and the name of thelr one and only on lt Refreshments of double d1p 1ce cream cones wlth a cherry on top were served 90 SENIOR DANCZ . . , . . the . , ll . il ' '
