Weiner B Moore Winning the Northeast Conference, Coach Roland's pucksters can boast of being perhaps the best hockey team in the history of M.H.S. Although most of the games were close, M.l-l.S. came out on top consistently. The opening game proved the team's ability to vvin big, as Marblehead defeated Lynn Classical 6-O. With one loss to Saugus and tying Danvers and Salem, Marble- head went into the Svvampscott game with the near perfect record of TO-1-2. The victories were as follovvs: A-l over English, 2-l over Malden Catholic, 4-l over Pea- body, A-3 over Gloucester, A-l over Amesbury, 4-2 over Woburn, 2-l over St. Mary's, 5-2 over Saint John's, and 6-O over Beverly. The first line of Prince, Sumner, and Cahoon totaled 55 goals and assists. Other stand-outs were, Frank Haskell, Jim Hosmer, and a freshman line scoring 25 goals and assists. The three senior co-captains, Daynor Prince, Ben Doliber, and Pete Eyges, all did a tremendous iob. Prince vvas high scorer with T6 goals and 7 assists for 23 points. Doliber, a tough defensive player, also scored well with 6 points.
