They’re starting at the bottom and working their wav to the top. With Marvin as their mascot, and sporting their colors of turquoise and grey, the freshman class was full of spirit and enthusiasm. Although this was only their first year in high school, the freshmen did their part to make Homecoming a success. They decorated their designated hallway and were very competitive at all the pep rallies. They worked hard the entire week building their float and dressing for spirit week theme days. Freshman Phillip Augustine exemplified his class's spirit and was voted the most spirited boy of the student body. The class's participation in school life did not end with Homecoming. President Vivi Mira reported, After Homecoming we plan on selling candy so that we can raise money for our treasury which will pay for all of our float and pep rally supplies. All in all the freshmen didn't feel at all bad about being at the bottom of the high school ladder. It gave them the opportunity to work their way to the top We don't get looked down upon just because we're freshmen, said Stephanie Fenton. Our class rank doesn't mean anything when it comes to friends.
