The faculty and staff at Marathon High School combined a wide variety of individual talents and interests to provide leadership for their students. We would like to thank all of our faculty and staff, not only for the time and energy they have devoted to their school, but especially for the knowledge and experience they have shared with their students. This year three members of the Marathon High School staff retired. After having served Marathon High for so long, they have earned this well-deserved rest. We hope that they all will enjoy what's ahead of them. Above Left: Dr. Edward Deane — Principal. Above Right: Mrs. Jessie Hobbs — Asst. Principal. Above: Mrs. Kathy Reagan — Attendance Office Aide. Right: Mrs. Bess Lowe — Office Clerk; Mrs. Rose Diezel — Office Manager; Mrs. Kay Beane — Bookkeeper. Mrs. Bess Lowe, administrative office clerk and school registrar, retired this February after almost twenty-one years at Marathon High School. She said that working here for all those years had been most en- joyable. She planned to make good use of her new-found free time by visiting Holland, her birthplace, and spending more time with her four children and six grandchildren. While she looked forward to her retirement, Mrs. Lowe also felt that she would miss seeing the happy faces of Marathon's students and being with her co-workers. 10 FACULTY
