Florida 33050 CONTENTS 1 THE RIGHT COMBINATION Picture a perfect swirl of student life. In Dolphin Country, this meant a combination of many events, both within and beyond the classroom. Pep rallies, class competitions, Homecoming Week, club participation, senior activities and prom combined with academics and athletic events to fill the year. From the first day of school, when returning students and newcomers all faced the challenges of finding lockers and classrooms, of renewing old friendships and initiating new ones, a pattern of togeth- erness was formed. We live in a small community, and the students of Marathon High were like one big family. We shared the laughter and tears of winning and losing, along with the challenges of getting an education and of meeting our goals. Everyone had a different way of explaining what, in their eyes, was The Right Combination, for everyone had different ideas and dreams. 2 OPENING For the seniors of 1988, the year passed quickly. Their high school years were ending, but their futures lay ahead. For them, ana for all of the students at Marathon High, now was the time to find the right com- bination to guide them on their varied and different paths to the future. This was 1988! 4 OPENING OPENING 5 A PERFECT PAIR There are times throughout our lives when circumstances permit us to meet the ideal teacher. The students at Marathon High School can certainly say that circumstances have favored them — not once, but twice. During the past few years, two members of the Marathon faculty have been a real inspiration to their students. The enthusiasm and willingness to assist all students shown by these two people have made them true friends to all of us. Their loyalty to the school extends far beyond the day- to-dav requirements of their jobs. Their helping hands and friendly smiles have been a true inspiration to everyone. The 1988 Shoreline staff proudly and fondly dedicates this yearbook to Cheryl and Dennis Doll. 6 DEDICATION 8 PEOPLE PEOPLE 9 PEOPLE The faculty and staff at Marathon High School combined a wide variety of individual talents and interests to provide leadership for their students. We would like to thank all of our faculty and staff, not only for the time and energy they have devoted to their school, but especially for the knowledge and experience they have shared with their students. This year three members of the Marathon High School staff retired. After having served Marathon High for so long, they have earned this well-deserved rest. We hope that they all will enjoy what's ahead of them. Above Left: Dr. Edward Deane — Principal. Above Right: Mrs. Jessie Hobbs — Asst. Principal. Above: Mrs. Kathy Reagan — Attendance Office Aide. Right: Mrs. Bess Lowe — Office Clerk; Mrs. Rose Diezel — Office Manager; Mrs. Kay Beane — Bookkeeper. Mrs. Bess Lowe, administrative office clerk and school registrar, retired this February after almost twenty-one years at Marathon High School. She said that working here for all those years had been most en- joyable. She planned to make good use of her new-found free time by visiting Holland, her birthplace, and spending more time with her four children and six grandchildren. While she looked forward to her retirement, Mrs. Lowe also felt that she would miss seeing the happy faces of Marathon's students and being with her co-workers. 10 FACULTY Left: Mr. Bo Johnston — U.S. History, Social Studies Chairman. Dr. Gates, who once trained medical students, turned to teaching high school chemistry because, used to being active, he found the forced relaxation of retirement boring. Dr. Gates retired again this year and left the Keys for Florida's West Coast. I'm going to miss teaching here, he said. I've had a lot of intelligent kids. Given Dr. Gates' past retirement history, we don't doubt that some intelligent kids on the West Coast will be enjoying the benefits of Dr. Gates' experience and expertise before long. I'm only sorry that it is time to move on. Mrs. Stout planned to take advantage of her free time to travel to Australia to visit her family. When asked what she would miss the most about teaching, Mrs. Stout replied, I will miss the students most, and the love that they give. I will also miss being able to watch them grow from young children into responsible young adults. Top Right: Mrs. Eunice Stout — English I, Writing I. FACULTY 17 It's boring ... but (like itr Most people seem to think that big cities offer all the advantages and that small towns have nothing to offer. Maratnon Middle School's seventh graders would have disagreed with that. One advantage of having such a small school was that teachers were able to give more individual attention to their students. That special attention was one of the reasons why the seventh graders enjoyed their science class so much. On weekends they spent their time enjoying their favorite water sports, hydrosliding and snorkeling. After school the average seventh grader was found working or watching Alf and Growing Pains on TV. Although the seventh grade class was the youngest group on the Marathon campus, the majority of the seventh graders felt no peer pressure from the upperclassmen. All of the seventh graders agreed that middle school was a definite step up from elementary school. Evonne Flint, Tonya Grieser and Christina Hand enjoy some free time during lunch. 18 7th GRADE Bailey, Skye Baker, Marcus Barney, Chad Bessemer, Ryan Bibb, Robert Blevins, Joshua Britt, Charles Broche, Hector Companioni, Argelio Coxon, Thomas Creech, Melissa Cristini, Bridget Left: Robert Bibb thinks school life is a breeze. Eighth graders at Marathon High were more mature this year and were looking forward to being in the high school next year. When they were not in school, they could be found watching their favorite shows Growing Pains and Cosby Show, hanging out with their friends or enjoying water sports. If eighth graders had it their way, they would have more freedom and shorter hours. Marathon would have a movie theater, a skating rink, or just a place to go in general. The eighth graders thought that living in the Keys was boring, but all right, and they wanted to see more school spirit in the middle school. By the end of the year, the eighth graders were convinced that it was time to move on. With Marvin as their mascot, and sporting their colors of turquoise and grey, the freshman class was full of spirit and enthusiasm. Although this was only their first year in high school, the freshmen did their part to make Homecoming a success. They decorated their designated hallway and were very competitive at all the pep rallies. They worked hard the entire week building their float and dressing for spirit week theme days. Freshman Phillip Augustine exemplified his class's spirit and was voted the most spirited boy of the student body. The class's participation in school life did not end with Homecoming. President Vivi Mira reported, After Homecoming we plan on selling candy so that we can raise money for our treasury which will pay for all of our float and pep rally supplies. All in all the freshmen didn't feel at all bad about being at the bottom of the high school ladder. It gave them the opportunity to work their way to the top We don't get looked down upon just because we're freshmen, said Stephanie Fenton. Our class rank doesn't mean anything when it comes to friends. Sophomores began the day in their favorite class (Biology) with their favorite teacher (Mr. Doll). By the time lunch arrived, they were tired and hungry, and hoped the cafeteria would serve the lunch they preferred — pizza. When the school day had ended, while most sophomores were riding the school bus home, they were dreaming of driving a Mustang convertible, or a famed Lamborghini. When they got home and finished their work, most sophomores relaxed in front of the tv watching The Cosby Show or Growing Pains. Almost all of the sophomores agreed it was nice not being freshmen anymore. They looked forward to being seniors in another two years and going on to college after graduation to further their education. Kendra Doll and Tracy Reilly take a break in Mrs. Doll's room. Most juniors didn't know yet what they wanted to do after graduation, but most agreed that going to college offered the best opportunities. None of the juniors felt that it was important to be popular, but they all wanted to be liked. All in all, they felt that their senior year was when all of the fun would begin!! With a new sponsor and a seniorless squad the 1987-88 cheerleaders had a difficult time preparing for the new year. Not only the sponsor, but the squad itself were nindered by a lack of knowledge and experience. Most of the members of the squad were new with only three returning varsity members. The girls attended camp at the University of South Florida during their summer vacation to learn new techniques, cheers and stunts, but by the begin- ning of the school year they had lost a few squad members. The remaining squad members had to rearrange the routines they had worked so hard to master and start all over again. The individual members of the squad and their sponsor all gained experience and became a unit by the end of the football season. They began the basketball season fresh and ready to cheer the players on, more accomplished now than when they had begun the year. The girls finished the year off with more confidence and improved skills, and had a good time as well. They overcame all of the obstacles they met and worked together to create a cheerleading squad that looked promising for the future. Top: First-year teacher Kathy McCormick sponsors the cheerleaders with enthusiasm and hope for the future. Center: Co-captain Ouida Roberts and captain Gayzel Diaz provide leadership for the varsity squad. VARSITY CHEERLEADERS 73 With few opportunities to shine their spirit is strong. The jv, as well as the varsity cheerleaders, had problems with the 1987-88 season. Because it took most of October for the jv football team to get organized, the cheerleaders were uncertain about the number of games they would be able to participate in. Unfor- tunately the jv football team's three game schedule only provided the cheerleaders with one home game to show their spirit to the Marathon community. Despite this disappointment, the jv cheerleaders kept their spirit strong and supported the varsity squad through- out their football season. The jv cheerleaders boosted the spirit of the middle school students throughout the year, and gave them the op- portunity to be an important part of the MHS family. CHEERLEADERS 75 The varsity Dolphins finish with the best season ever. The varsity Dolphins finished the 1987 regular season with a 9-1 record, the best ever achieved by a Marathon football team. Several other records were broken by this team, which began its first year as a 1 -A school ranked first in the state by the Miami News. The Dolphins scored a record-breaking 259 points, and allowed their opponents to score only 75 points. Marathon's 12-7 defeat of American Heritage gave the Dolphins their first District Championship in football, and sent them on the road to Belle Glade to face the Glades Day Fighting Gators for the Regional Championship. A hard-fought battle resulted in a 7-3 victory for the Gators over the Dolphins and ended Marathon's hopes of a state title. What it couldn't end, however, was the pride this team felt in their accomplishments during the 1987 football season. The Lady Dolphins learned from mistakes made last year and once again ended the year with a winning (22- 7) record. Although a lack of height (ranging from 5'1 to 5'8 ) at the net was a major weakness in the team's defense, the Ladies relied on their mastery of fundamentals to overcome this handicap and tied Westminster and Gulliver for the Gulfstream Conference title. The team's finest hour was an early victory against their arch rivals, the Westminster Warriors. Unfortunately for the Marathon squad, however, when the two teams met again in the final District tournament game at Westminster, the tables were turned. Although the Ladies fougnt hard and kept the games close, they were unable to bring home the title. In this contest, as in many others throughout the season, the Dolphins' lack of height proved to be the determining factor. At season's end, seniors Allison Cameron and Amy Grill, and junior Laura Daughtry were rewarded for their hard work and dedication by being named to the 1987 Gulfstream All-Conference team. VOLLEYBALL 91 The Dolphins Learn Murphy’s Law: What Can Happen Will Happen The 1987-88 varsity basketball team started off the new year with high expectations that went fulfilled due to the loss of last year's senior players and injuries that plagued the starting five throughout the season. Center Alex Cameron was side-lined with a rib injury for six weeks, and forward Troy Campbell missed the season opener at Pinecrest as the result of a shoulder injury received during football. The team got off to a slow start in December with losses to Pinecrest, Curley, Gulliver, Berkshire and InterAmerican, but the players grad- ually became aware of the situation they were in and started to work together as a team. Head Coach Jim Sikora felt that the team had a good attitude toward what they were trying to accomplish. The team sticks together, and the players aren't giving up on themselves, he said. It's easy to play well when you're a winning team, but it's hard to stick together when you're having a losing season. Once all the starting players were back on the floor the team became more ambitious. They forgot about the past and set their sights on the future and the district tournament. Under all the problems we had this year we per- formed very well, Coach Sikora said. It's hard to get things done when players are out for injuries Because the team doesn't get a chance to see how they play together. We hope to reach our major goal this year, to perform well enough to get into the district finals and possibly win. With their minds set on finishing the season with a job well done, the team strived to do the best they possibly could. ♦ 92 VARSITY BASKETBALL Page 92: Top: Paul Davis — Captain. Although their 5-17 record was far from the best, their coach felt they had played a successful season. It all boiled down to one's definition of success. Considering the lack of experience and development level, said Coach Stuart Kantor, we haa a successful season in terms of maturing and not quitting. To Coach Kantor success was not necessarily wins and losses, but overcoming ad- versity. Kantor also felt that the attitude of the team was good overall. Through illness, injury and a few extra losses, he declared, we've held together strongly. A season record like theirs would have been hard for anyone to handle. Coach Kantor commended his team for not giving up, for overcoming adversity and for having fun while remaining sane and, through it all, continuing to learn. Top: Dustin Huff — Sophomore — Guard. JV BASKETBALL 101 The way this team works is practice, practice, practice In January and February the Lady Dolphins prepared for what they hoped would be a successful season. The experience and confidence that the team's ten returning starters had gained after playing together last year communicated itself to the entire team. This atitude showed during practices. Both veterans and newcomers worked well and hard together. During the first two months of practice, the Ladies became more of a family. Practices got easier in February as the Ladies got into better shape and learned what had to be done. As they became more comfortable with the practice routine, the practices became more enjoyable. Coach Bayles felt that, the Ladies should be better this year, since all the starters are returning. Fie believed his team could be competitive within their conference and district, even though they were unfamiliar with their new 1A competition. Coach Bayles also thought his team needed to make major improvements in their offensive play. Defensively, he said, we need to continue to improve, ana our pitching must be effective. VARSITY SOFTBALL 105 Dolphin baseball strives for excellence Hot, tired and dirty. This characterized this year's baseball team as tney began practice. The squad had a tough conference schedule to look forward to. Ralph Gentry, who had officially retired as coach at the end of last season, started off the team for Coach Kantor, who was finishing basketball season. It's going to be difficult with teams like Gulliver and Westminster, said Mr. Gentry, but at this point concentration and effort are at a high level. There were a few new faces, but with a number of experienced players and a veteran in- field, everyone pulled together as a team. The players agreed that their main goal was to play winning, mental, error-free baseoall. In order to reach this goal they needed to improve in their pitching and hitting. As basketball season ended a few more players joined the team. Along with these players came a new coach. Coach Stuart Kantor and his team became more accustomed to each other and started working and practicing hard, moving even closer to their goal. As the playing season began, the team was still full of confidence. They had set their goals and were redy to achieve them. Ambition, determination and drive. This characterized this year's team as competition be- gan. Top: Shawn Nackino tries to scramble his way out of a run- down. Above: Mr. Gentry hits fly balls to the outfield during practice. As the week progressed, each class tried harder to have the highest percentage of participants and win each day's com- petition. The competition reached its peak at Friday's pep rally, when the cheerleaders announced the winners of the Spirit Week contests. Junior Lisa Brueckner and Freshman Phillip Augustine were each awarded an en- graved plaque recognizing them as Marathon's Most Spirited girl and boy. Also recognized at the pep rally were the Spirit Stick winners — the sophomores, the middle school students won the award for the best decorated hall, and the juniors received the award for Most Spirited Class. In the Homecoming parade that followed, the class floats, marching band and home- coming court travelled down the highway to the ap- plause and smiles of the Marathon community. When the winners of the float competition were announced at halftime of the football game, the juniors emerged vic- torious again. Top: Joe Wagers goes all out for MTV Day. As the drums rolled and anticipation mounted. Dr. Deane crowned Miss Tracey Swaney and Mr. Sky Rockett King and Queen. By coincidence, Tracey and Sky had been placed as a couple in the Homecoming Court. Marathon got off to a strong first quarter start, and after a Scott Thistle interception, a pair of touchdowns by Paul Davis and Troy Campbell, and two Odell Robbins extra point kicks, they led 14-0. Odell Robbins scored in the second quarter, but a North West Christian score on the kickoff return that followed put the Eagles on the score board for the first time. When the first half ended, the Dolphins led 20-7. Following the half-time Homecoming ceremonies, the two teams returned to the field for a scoreless third quarter. The Eagles upped their score by 6 in the fourth quarter, when they made the touchdown, but missed the extra point. With minutes remaining in the game, the Dolphins regained their confidence and added 7 more points to their score on Andre Mosley's touchdown and Odell Robbins extra point luck. For the seventh grade, a couple was elected from each of the three homerooms to represent that homeroom as homecoming Prince and Princess. For eighth grade, a couple from each homeroom was nominated to run for the title of the middle school s Homecoming King and Queen. The three couples nominated made up the Homecoming Court from which the King and Queen were elected by the middle school student body. ORGANIZATIONS 131 Middle School Band High School Band and Color Guard Members of the middle school band worked hard all year to learn the musical basics that would prepare them to take their future places in the high school band. Four exceptional members — eighth graders Jason Shinn, Andy Kellenberger ana Jennifer King, and seventh grader Mark Doerffel — earned positions with the high school band. The high school band and color guard kept busy throughout the year with performances and competitions. The football team's schedule of seven home games saw them on the field at halftime most Friday nights during the fall. In November, the band and color guard took part in the District Marching Competition in Ft. Myers, where they earned a 3 and a 2 rating respectively. They travelled to St. Petersburg the following week where they gained state-level experience at the Suncoast Marching Festival. Junior Amanda Kepley was honored by being invited to par- ticipate in the University of South Florida's Festival of the Winds for her second year. Amanda received the additional honor of being awarded not only an invitation, but also a scholarship to participate in the Festival again next year. ORGANIZATIONS 139 MMS spreads holiday cheer with 'A Christmas Promise The Marathon Middle School got us in the holiday spirit with the presentation of their own Christmas play. The play, entitled A Christmas Promise, was sponsored by Mrs. Hale's seventh grade English class, and was presented to the middle school students and their parents at no charge. Members of the cast were Bridget Cristini as Mrs. Collins, Mark Doerffel as Mr. Collins, Kate McCue as Mrs. Spencer, Robyn Harris as Patty Collins, Joel Pino as Jeff Ramsey and Skye Bailey as Greg Collins. Class members who did not appear on stage worked behind the scenes. They organized the set and props, designed the program, provided refreshments and served as ushers. The plot centered around the Collins family's efforts to set Greg up with a date for the Christmas Dance — when all along he had a date of his own. The play took one month to rehearse and was presented on Wednesday, December 17. Mrs. Linda Hale, who directed the play, was pleased with her class's success. I think the play was a great learning experience for the class, she said. STUDENT LIFE 141 Seniors pull together and win by 1 On December 18, teams from Marathon's four senior high classes met on Switlik Field to decide which class was, indeed, the best at MHS. A series of events designed and organized by the student council tested the speed, agility, strength, stamina and coordination of the competitors. The seniors took a strong lead early in the com- Eetition as their boys' and girls' teams won the alloon toss, easily out-tossing the other three classes. Competition became more intense as the classes traded wins in the Relay, Flipper, Three- legged, and Wheelbarrow Races. By the last three events, the seniors and juniors were fighting neck- and-neck for victory. Although the juniors held tough, the seniors built an excellent pyramid, passed a quick orange, and finally pulled tne jun- iors across the line in the Tug-of-War for a one- oint win. The juniors took second place, followed y the sophomores and freshmen. Although they finished in last place, the freshmen took their de- feat in stride and looked forward to the years to come and their chance to win the title of 1. STUDENT LIFE 145 Students rock to the beat of The E As the students walked into the gym they could sense the excitement in the air. As they waited for The Edge to come out, there was talk about how good the band would be. When The Edge finally came running into the gym, the audience went wild! After the first song, Raise Your Hands, it was obvious that everyone would have a good time. At the end of their first set, the band called Student Council officers Perry Logan and Nicole Holmes, and prin- cipal Dr. Deane to the stage to participate as contestants in a game show. While Perry, Nicole and Dr. Deane had the rules explained to them outside, the band prepared the audience for what was about to happen. The three contestants thought they would be answering questions about their hobbies, but the audience was told that the real topic was kissing. The audience was told to keep the real topic in mind while the band posed these questions to tne contestants — Where do you do your hobby? How long have you been doing it? With whom do you do it? Tne confusion of all three contestants showed on their faces because of the laughter of the audience as Perry, Nicole and Dr. Deane were finally let in on the joke. Before playing their final song, the band's bass guitar player, Monte, told the audience about a boy who had tried to kill himself and talked about Baby Jessica, the young child who had been rescued from a well earlier in the year. He asked each member of the audience not to consider him or herself as number one, but to put others first. After acknowledging the standing ovation this message received from the student body, The Edge ended their concert on an up-beat note with Give to Live. After month-long negotiations between Logan and Principal Edward Deane, students were able to wet their whistles with a cool soda from the machine installed in January on the B-wing patio. Student Council efforts also extended the students' privilege of wearing shorts from the previous October-through-May period to year-round. After negotiations had been completed. Perry Logan and Dr. Deane held an assembly of all the students to discuss the rules that would accompany these new privileges. They explained that students could only use the soda machine between classes after fourth period; additionally, students were expected to take more responsibility for keeping the lunchroom clean. To extend the shorts privilege year- round, the Student Council agreed to sponsor dress up days throughout the year. On these days students traded their shorts and t- shirts for more formal attire. Although some students grumbled about the added rules and reg- ulations, most were satisfied with the achievements of their Student Council and didn't mind the additional responsibilities. STUDENT LIFE 149 At MHS, as everywhere else. 1988 arrives in style Although some people thought the Keys were out of touch and isolated from the rest of the world, Marathon was no different from Miami or any other American city in one respect. Marathon's students were right in step with all the latest styles. From clothes and hairstyles to cars and music, students at MHS picked up on fads and fashions. It's fun to be a part of it all, said junior Thania Moses, but it can get pretty expensive. Decked out in the latest styles and in rhythm with their favorite pop tunes, students chose wardrobes from Guess, Gucci, Esprit, Fila and Keds. Groups like Def Leppard rocked the school with their latest hit, Animal. Push It by Salt and Pepa, seemed to have an effect on most students here at MHS, while others enjoyed melodies by Will to Power, Tiffany, Foreigner and the soundtrack to Dirty Dancing. Instead of riding the bus, many juniors and seniors enjoyed the freedom of driving their own cars to school. Vehicles included Derek Fenton's restored '56 Ford truck and Ronnie Freeman's 1988 Grand National. Cars in the stu- dent parking lot ranged from Perry Logan's multi-colored bomb to Tif- fany Rabito's bright red Honda Pre- lude SI. Students at MHS proved that living on an island didn't cut them off from the rest of the world. They kept right in step with the latest fads and fashions. It has been a great success, in the classroom, in the newspaper and on campus. Approximately 100 students have gone through the [ournaiism class to bring the opinions and concerns 3f high school students before the community. “We hope to provide an avenue of communication between the students and the community,” said Keynoter spokesmen. We want to narrow the generation gap. “And if we can produce a few journalists at the same, so much the better.” Stories covered by the Younger Generation includi man on campus stories asking students their opi nions on a variety of subjects, the progress of thi school academically, school-related events and im portant information regarding exams, reports and si on. “Nothing would make us happier than to help Marathon High School develop its own schoo newspaper, Keynoter spokesmen continued, “but until that happens, The Keynoter is ready, willing and able to provide our youth the forum they neec and deserve.” The teen page, Younger Generation, is always found on Page 14 of the Wednesday Keynoter during the school year (excluding holidays). We've not only shared the joys but the tears os well — and you've always been there for me, especially when you were needed the most. You've made my life richer, just by being you. It's great to think the closeness we share has grown year by year, day by day But I'd like to think if we hadn't been sisters we'd be friends anyway.” Good luck in the future years to come. Becoming friends with you — always having the freedom to tell you anything while feeling complete trust and comfort, knowing it is safe inside this circle we've built together this is what makes our friendship the very best. We have had our bad moments in which neither of us understood what the other meant, but somehow we seemed to find our way back to each other, always forgiving each other and gaining a greater respect for each other's views. I have gathered such great memories of us, and I believe that we have come so far together in this lifetime, through good and bad times, each of us making sacrifices along the way to keep our friendship going strong and forever alive. As life continues on, I hope that you have many beautiful days ahead and that this friendship we share will grow richer and stronger with each passing moment. — K. Richardson I love you, L.D. students ran around getting last minute pictures of friends, and autographs in their yearbooks. They rushed to clean out their lockers, return their books to their teachers and find that one special library book that had been overdue since October. There was so much to do, and it seemed like there was so little time. As the last day of school approached and many students were happy that school was finally coming to an end, a feeling of sadness lingered. Everyone wondereci if the friends they had made during the school year would last through the summer vacation until next year. Juniors looked forward to the summer's events and to their following year as seniors. It seemed so far away, but they were still excited. Seniors were on their way, preparing to enter new worlds that were so much larger and so much more challenging than anything they had experienced in the past twelve years. All the experiences that Marathon's students had shared throughout the year were over, but the memories that remained would be treasured throughout the summer months and in the years to come. 244 CLOSING CLOSING 245 CLOSING 247 I m Vivian Chisolm — Advisor .% f Tricia Baker — Business Manager Editors Amy Grill — People Tammy Rabito — Athletics Tracey Swaney — Specials Cheri Warren — Student Life Staff Vaneassa Allen — Eighth Grade Kathe Baker — Seventh Grade, Seniors Lisa Brueckner Community, Photography Alex Cameron — Cheerleaders, Varsity Basketball Allison Cameron — Volleyball, Softball Derek Fenton — Varsity Football, Baseball, Index, Photography Russ Gardner — Organizations, Fads and Fashions Amy Grill — Faculty, Freshmen, Seniors, Photography Laura Ground — Juniors, Seniors Heidi FJayden — Community Chad Huff — Freshmen, Seniors, Photography Stephanie Kornetti — Opening, Divisions, Index, Closing, Photography David Mayan — JV Football, JV Basketball Kelly McGarry — Volleyball, Softball, Photography Shawn Nackino — JV Football Angela Nunery — Juniors, Seniors Tammy Rabito — Cheerleaders, Varsity and JV Basketball Patrick Reapp — Organizations, A Christmas Promise, Photography Chris Rutherford — Homecoming, Class Competition, The Edge, Seniors Michael Show — Varsity Football, Baseball Tracey Swaney — Opening, Dedication, Divisions, Index, Closing, Photography Jennifer Taute — Middle School Flomecoming, Class Competition, Photography Rob Taylor — Sophomores, Seniors Melissa Tenorio — Class Competition, Homecoming, Goofing Off, Photography Roy Thompson — Sophomores, Seniors, Photography Cheri Warren — Homecoming, Class Competition, Fads and Fashions, Photography Special Thanks To Mrs. Cheryl Nackino and Mr. Bob Koslow for the use of their photographs j 248 CLOSING ■' I i I
