CA65 l'0,9A6Cy- Mr. and Mrs. Karl Fullenworth cordially invite you to their home for dinner on Saturday evening, june 4, l9 7l. The dinner will be served at 6:30. This was the invitation to the dinner held in honor of our tenth year after graduation. All of our class were there with the exception of Bob McGowan. He was unable to attend as he was in Cuba leading guerrilla troops in an attempt to overthrow Castro. Ianice helped her mother serve the wonderful dinner. Ian and her husband live on a farm and are happy raising baby-beefs. One of the members who came the farthest distance to attend the dinner was Kirk Ienkinson. He caused quite a sensation when he came wearing his parka and high top boots. He is an architect in Alaska. He has a big job designing igloos. During the dinner, Darlene showed a very deep interest in the food preparation. She is now teach- ing home ec. in good old Marathon High. She always liked it so well when she was in school. Following the dinner the customary gab fest was held. We were very honored as we had the President and First Lady in our company. The first lady will always be remembered for her famous giggleg she is the former Alice Mae Peterson. We also had several other celebrities in the group. Two of them were famous television stars. Ed Nygaard told us that he had been filling in for jackie Gleason and Chuck Egeland has replaced Charlie Weaver on the Iack Parr Show. Our sports celebrity was Craig Okerberg. He is now the star basketball player for the Harlem Globe Trotters. We all mentioned how Connie Rassler seemed to resemble the role she played in the one-act play in her senior year. Connie is the town librarian of Marathon now. We just couldn't get over the fact how her role became such a reality. She even wore her hair the same as she did the night of the play. Lelland Nation is now the personal hair dresser for Tex Rafton. My, that name sounds familiar! Barbara Benson is the personal hair dresser for Tex's wife. Lelland and Barb are thinking about com- bining interests-- but are proceeding cautiously. The twins, Sharon and Sharol Bjorklund were at the dinner too. My how those girls had changed! Sharon had received her P,W. CPreacher's Wifej degree. She is now the mother of twin boys. Sharol was telling us that shortly after graduation she had bought a motorcycle and had been racing with it ever since then. As a matter of fact, she had to leave early, so that she could get plenty of sleep for the big race the next day. Merlyn has been leading a very interesting life since graduation. He is the only man in the WAC's and in his spare time he is a Girl Scout Leader. He was telling Virgil, who seems to be having a great deal of trouble with women, that he should join the WAC's'i Virgil has been married two times since graduation and is now Consideringa third venture. The lucky girl this time is Tuesday Weld. Evelyn and Sandy were busy talking over the days when they were young. They both live in New York, however, they were not aware of the fact until tonight. Evelyn is the supervisor of an Old Maid's Home and Sandy is the mother of six girls. Morris Larson is kept very busy too. He trains penguins for Kool cigarette commercials. Dave Bockelmann went to AIB in Des Moines after graduation and took up accounting. He is now an accounting manager for his own firm of Gymnastics for Women. And letst but not least is Gary Rosene. Gary had really changed in looks too. He is now 6 feet tall and he must weigh all of 250 pounds. He had a cute little black mustache and he was puffing OU El Clgfifl PfGCfiCHllY all SVGIUHQ. We will refer to him as Mayor Rosene from now on as he is the Hewmayor of Marathon. KRUSE'S CLCVER FARM STORE-- Where Prices Are Low On Foods You Know
