A Peak zn The Future Don t tell anyone but we are goxng to let you ln on a dream' One nlght whlle the twlns were studymg Donna fell asleep and dreamed that she saw a bzg black book w1th brlght red letters A Peek In The Future She sald on each page was a pxcture and a story about the class of 1950 as they wlll be ten years from now The flrst page revealed a farmer worklng ln a f1eld There seemed to be somethmg famxhar about hmm and we soon recogmzed B111 Rydstrom runmng hxs own farm of 150 acres down m Texas As she turned the second page we saw the tradltlonal little red schoolhouse There was only one teacher trymg her best to teach exght grades at once and much to our surprise xt was Beverly Meyer On the next page a little bald headed pr ofessor wlthout a care ln the world was gazmg at the stars Burdette was assxstant professor of astronomy at Leverette College a school for retlr ed movle stars A picture of Charles Chrlstenson revealed to us that he had become star Slugger for the St Louls Cards In h1s last famous game Chuck hxt such a long home run that they are st111 looklng for the ball We almost felt a breeze as we looked at the next page On the outs kxrts of the llttle town of Such And Such Arkansas stood Gerry Watts on h1s soap box He was a great po11t1c1an ran for senator four t1mes and was st1ll runmng A poster on a blllboard brought a great surprlse Ardus Coppock was featured as star performer wlth her great metzo soprano voice Her next performance w1ll be at the Metro polltan Opera House ln New York Clty The next page ln our book showed Phyllis Buse as queen of the Ice Folhes She starred ln her own show whlch most people thlnk excells Sonja Henle s Do Your Teeth Hurt Don t Hesxtate Come Rmght In reads the sign on the next page The dentist looked famlllar and we recognized Eldon Mtller holding up the reputatlon of hav mg a howhng practxce wxth Mary Dell Ebersole as hls vxctzm The happy little old mald on the next page was none other than Nlla Meyer She owned and operated the famous Anlmal Hospltal and Pet Shop Th1s was a real home for lost dogs slck cats and lonesome canarxes Norma Schott appeared next ln our book She had become a very effxclent nurse and had perfected a remedy for aching feet wh1ch had made her lndependently rlch Donna dreamed about Don too She sald he was married to a beautlful blonde and lwed down ln Georgia but Don wouldn t let her flmsh the story and declded It was time for both of them to get back to work Class Motto CHARACTER IS THE CORNERSTONE OF ALL SUCCESS Class Color s PURPLE AND GOLD Class Flower YELLOW ROSE 16 54 ' LV , . . . . .
