Dating back to 1974 when girls' participation in Metro League competition began no Mar Vista team had beaten any team by sweeping all doubles and singles matches . . . until this season. Many retur- nees have contributed this season to continue what began with last year's fine performance and has carried over to this season. 1st round of play: C.P. 14-2, S.W. 7-9, Cor. 3-13, Mont. 9-7, C.V. 7-9, H.H. 3-13, Su. 16-0, Mar. 11-5. 130
