T U R E G L I M P S As we look into the stars of the future, let us set our gaze on a l1ttle town called Hollywood, and on the l1ttle people tn it who once were members of the Junior Victory Class of Mar-Ken The most logical place to begln our future glimpses would b on Hollywood and Vine As our telescope draws closer we see on the orner a mam oth new theatre featuring W Victory Productions W which are directed and produced by Art Stern Drawing closer to it, we find Val Arnheim selling tickets, with Dlx Davis Q tree urer of the corporation D, peerlng over her shoulder, staring eagerly at every cent collected As we enter the lobby Tom Shultz pre ents us with a program of the even1ngs performance On the cover we see that the star of the show is Patty Sull1van who appear n1ghtly dancxng the Irish Jig Also appearlng is Shirely Balogh who does a Juggling act with an accordlan 1D one hand and two volumes of N How t learn Geometry In Five Easy Semesters', 1n the other hand For the flnale of the first Act the ourtaln rise and we see Gerry Lynn skating around on an ice cube, abely ass1sted by two polar bears er the how we grab a snack at WYe Olde Ritzy Hhlty Shopnen where we meet up v1th Loulse Erlckson and PT1SC1ll8 Lyon discussing their latest heart throb The SpGC18lS on today s menu are our second bromo, re leave the shop. A few doors down, we enter one of Hollywood's swanklest beauty salons, ovned and operated by Bonnie Jeane Churchill She is feat urlng the new ear length hair cut, whlch she is sporting herself Facials are given by Suzanne Hlll, and colffures are orlginated by Virginia Turk Crossing the street, we encounter the openlng of a new drama theatre, dedlcated to the works of that great writer, William Shakespeare The current billing 1S Macbeth, starr1ng Bill Dawson and Dell1e Ellis In the audience we see that well known Shakesper ian cr1tic, Mrs Gilliand, thoroughly enjoying the performs , c COIHPHUICG 'DY Beverly Schoene and Marjorle Morrison, who are now f88Ch1I1g at UIS C Not having t1me to stay for the flnal Act, we depart and enter an Indian Curlo Shop, two doors down, where we find Betty Abbott as proprietor. It appears that Betty has turned out to be a long lost Indian Princess , and has opened this shop to display her wares made by her Indian slave girls Leaving the shop, we hear falnt strains of muslc We enter the next shop that we come to and flnd Charlene Arnold teach1ng Marilyn Telfer to tap on ice skates, Suddenly, Mary takes a false stepstep and slips v1th a loud crack r1ght through the ice, but in runs Sheila Harrington with her first aid kit, so all is well, and we exit A few blocks down we enter the Arts and Science Bullding Taking the elevator up to the top floor, we open the first door to the right, only to be met by a herd of old shoes, alarm clocks, etc We im ed1ately close the door and rush on down the corridor Later we find that the room was occup1ed by La Verne Burden and Camille Chan, who are fUT1OuSly worklng on thelr new novel, W How to Ditch School W, or W Go Back To Sleep n F U ' s E S I - ' e I C 9 , , ' s , - s I O u S ' . . . . o ' ' ,- Aft s f .
