MAR KEN COURT by H Rae Bouett Hear ye, hear ye, lar4Ken Court' in sesslon Judge, Jury, Attornles, and COnf9SS10D Who was the artlst of sald plctureq From the high school we not a mlxture, Of Op1Hi0nS on thls case, Ano now to recount the merry chase, When Judge Be 1re came ln the door, Attornles and Jury salaamed to the floor For thls CIZZY trlal was just a folly, The W1+HGSS6S all had to swear, NBy Gollyu, The Judge sat down and pounded on the tile And th1 was tl e start of the Mar-Ken trial nThe p1cture's minen, John sald with a leer But, to the Jury, lt was never clear, Whether Betty or John was in the right, All they were there for was to see the light Donay and Delson were chewrng on clues, Spellman and Outten were deep ln the blues But then came an idea, thrust like a lance, Both groups were beaming and out of their trance. Star wltness Burnadell then took the stand And all of the courtroom gave her a hand, She smiled at the OuSSt1ODS but stuttered and stam ered, As the prosecutor shouted, the gavel was hammered Then to the chalr came a girl, I fingers crossedl, LOOk1Dg so shy but refus1ng to be bossed, The vhole courtroom fell 1nto a hush, When Cora Sue mentloned Blll, dld Jo Stack blush' Whlle Suzy at the questions got 1nto a fuddle, The Jury, none too quletly, went 1nto a huddle, They all sald the picture was put in the car, But Cyrll asked, 'Could they see that far?' Whlle the attorn1es were yelllng the1r usual slander At the knees of the wltness, the Judge took a gander, Then the Judge and the Ba1l1ff began to jive, Rod wlth his money, the Jury d1d brlbe A vmtness was called by the defence, w1th a yelp, Ruth Jones too the stand, but she was no help, The w1tnesses were helped by the aid of signs, While the Bailiff wondered how to collect all the fines, The Jury by now couldn't decide, Th1s, to the Judge, they had to confide, But, by then the time was growing short, So they had to adjourn the lar Ken Court. - .......... .....
