RTS The Practical Arts department offers, for those intending to enter the business world, typing, short- hand, business law, salesmanship, bookkeeping, cleri- cal and secretarial practice. For those boys interested in developing manual skills, shop and mechanical drawing is offered. Home economics is offered for girls who want to learn how to cook, sew, and all phases of home-making. COE is offered for students wishing to practice their chosen professions. These students attend school four hours and work the rest of the day. The fine arts and practical arts departments of M-RH are designed to fill this need. The Fine Arts department offers art and music courses to help balance the students' program. The first year of art is intended to provide a basic train- ing in art, but more serious students may take up to three years of art. The different music courses which are offered are: orchestra, band, choir, and glee club. Out of these different music groups may develop many programs such as the annual spring concert.
