H. progres- sive spirit, a Vocational Guidance Proj- ect was organized this year. The primary purpose of this plan was to in- terest students in the occupations, and to make available information on a wide range of vocational opportunities. A representative committee of students with the aid of faculty advisors, Miss Murch and Miss Smith, and a Y. M. t'. A. Counselor, Mr. Gilmore, formu- lated plans to execute the program. During' the Iirst semester three general assemblies were held for the three upper classes to which well-informed speakers from the business and profes- sional world brought their experiences, and invaluable information. After the three assemblies were completed, a list ot' specilic occupations was presented to students from which they were to choose those in which they were most interested. Then, ou the basis of their selections, thirty-six interest groups were set up in which the students had regular discussions with specialists in these fields. This program was received with such enthusiasm by those participating that wiser choices of life work should result. IT Vocational Guidance SS l.l't'll,I.l-I SNll'l'll MISS l.l't'll,l,I'I Ml'l
