We all appreciate their Work, though We seldom let them know. In our school when things go wrong-when there are important tasks that require immediate attention, We are always grateful to know that there is someone upon whom We can depend to tackle the job and get it done. Besides being our Mr, Fix-it Man , always ready in any emergency, he is a respected and etticient shop manager, teacher, and tather. We are proud to dedicate this annual to one of our faculty'- D. E. Though fraught with the problems of peace and the aftermath of War, it still holds out the shining opportunity for unselfish service in a day when such is the exception rather than the rule. The darker the prospect the greater our field of service. Surely the youth of today are destined to be the leaders in history's most dramatic chapters. Ours is the time of preparation, of dedication to the World task- given us. Adventist youth will not come short of the expectations of church and country. This is youth's chapter. Write carefully, then, your record so it too will stand with others for time and eternity. I. V. PETERS Wno Adwked Us to See. .. Most ot the students heads were bowec and hands busy as though they Were very studiously taking notes on the class discussion But a closer examination by the teacher proveo that the class was not as diligent as it appeareo to be, tor the scratch, scratch sounds were no made by pencils taking notes, but by knives bobby pins, etc., making designs on the nevx chairs in the classroom. 'Tools' names and fools' faces always appeal in public places. How many chairs have your initials carveo on them? Grace Steiner WE THANK THEE Have you ever sat down at your desk ana tried to Write down everything you were thanktu tor? lt's impossible isn't it? We have been giver blessings Without numberg that is Why We celebrate Thanksgiving. The pilgrims who celebrated the first Thanks giving did not have many material things to thank God tor, yet they had a clear conscience and the right to Worship Him, He had spared their lives and they had the hope ot better days ahead- so they set a day apart as a special day on Whicl to thank God.
