His ability to block was outstanding and he was tops as a defensive player. ZEMBAR: Zem was our big tackle from across the river. He was the type of player who didn't get much praise, but in our books he is one of the best. KRAMER: Bryce was our hard-tackling guard. He was small but he hit like a stick of dynamite. I-le made the ALL COUNTY TEAM. HLUSZTI: Mike did not play as a regular at the first of the season, but later broke into the opening lineup. He was a fine offensive center. GREGORY: Joe was co-captain of the team. A small but aggressive player who gave his all while in a game. Joe's position was guard. KALIS: Kalis, a tackle, was one of our many seniors who will be missed next season. Joe played his best game against Centerville. ERJAVEK: Frank was our small quarterback, but judging from his passing ability he'1l be a stand-out next year. WILSON: Roy was known among the players as Bul1dozer . When Roy hit an opponent he knew he was hit. We're sorry we had to lose such a good halfback. GREGOR: Jim was our right halfback and he could really throw those passes. Being only a Sophomore this year, we're expecting a lot from you next year, Jim. RUSH: Fred led the team in scoring and made honorable mention on the ALL COUNTY Team. As fullback we depended on Freddie to carry that ball across the goal line. WAGNER: Jim was co-captain and a member of the ALL COUNTY TEAM, also. When the chips were d , Jim always gave his best in hard-play and encouragement to the others. qi ' is g OOPKING- O RWARD 1 95 1 - 52 FOOTBALL SCHED ULE Sept . 7 Pt . They continued to have a fighting spirit despite the odds that were against them, namely, inexperience. James Wagner, ajunior, accumulated 259 points during the season to rate him second in the county. He was a good offensive as well as defensive player. Frank Kendralla, better known as Mitch, piled up 133 points. This was due largely to his excellent foul shooting. Pshock and Erjavek were tops as defensive ' ' the season, we are expecting an out- players. With the experience Brown gained during standing center next year.
