MHS posted a 13-6 rec- ord and showed considerable promise for future years. Lyle Woodward, ace guard, received honorable mention on the All-State selections. Delbert Lane sparked the team along with the rest of the varsity to set a blazing pace during the 55-56 sea- son. Keith Zediker proved to be the year's top point winner as well as qualifying for the State 220 yard dash. Another bright spot of the season was Bill Fouts' 440 yard dash record at the Monona County meet. They knew nothing about publishing a school paper. A11 events covered were written on their own time and coached by their advisor, Miss Larson. Mike, Wayne, and Dona were in charge of proofreading.
