'1--',,.,.' 4- 1' ' ' The Mapleton Rambler's football squad had a successful season after being delayed by the polio epidemic. The first game was Homecoming with Dunlap who were given a royal romping to keep in spirit with the event. Then came Kingsley--everyone looked good as the Ramblers beat them 26-13. Next the team traveled to Moville. They came out of a sl- ump in the first half to beat them 12-6 and ruin their Homecomin . October 17 was a sad day for the squad. They suffered their girst defeat at the hands of Missouri Valley--26-12. After a week of rest the Ramblers sprang back to beat Woodbine 33-19. In a game that was squeezed into the schedule with Logan. The Mapleton team came out on top 13-6 On Armistice Day they traveled to the county seat to play their tra- ditional rivals, the Onawa Bulldogs.
