CLASS 0F '55 1 r Q, V I, Joe Robinson, have just arrived in my little flying saucer to attend the Class Reunion of my graduation year, 1955. The year is 1970. The place is the Math Room in Mapleton High School, in the great metropolis of Mapleton, population now one million not counting the students, and the time is 11:40 P. M. I guess I am here earlyg that is something newg I was always late to the Senior Class Meetings back in 1955. Well, if I wait around a while, I suppose the others will come. What's this I hear? Somebody's raising a ruckus out in the hall. ls that Mr. Martin I hear calling him down? No, this is all too natural. I must be dreaming. I thought I heard Mr. Martin say, Gary Hotz, if you don't be quiet, I won't let you come back next year and finish your education. Good ol' Gary, he 's still in there trying. He would like to have graduated with us but Mr. Williams just couldn't bear to part with him. The class has started to gather now so I will interview them and you can see how the class of '55 has done. There's Mike Cline. He's the president of the NRBABBC QNational Red Blooded American Boys' Bachelor Clubj of which I am a member. We plan on having a meeting next week if our wives will let us out of the house. Here come Jerry Snelgrove and LeRoy Beattie. They haven't done badly. Jerry is a member of our club and also a member in good standing of the National Hobos Convention. LeRoy is now the President of the United States. He always was the political type. As I turn around, I stand face to face with a tall, shapely blonde. Her name is Gretchen Davidson, better known now as Chris Lee. She is the famous singer of Nick Nostrile's Band. His band, The Nine Nasty Nose Pickers, has made history with their latest hit, I'll Get You Yet, You Dirty Burger. Nick's real name is Steve Farrellr and, I am sure, you would recognize a few of the members of his band such as Albert Bear, Dale Brummett, and Glenn Pruett. Sally Poole has married a hat designer, Gary Holman. He is a member of the class of '54, but I guess that is okay. Well wha' da' ya' know--there is Daryl Richardson. He used to keep the class laughing with his jokes-- now he keeps the nation laughing. He is a comedian over station D-O-G. I always figured he 'd make good. Alvin Dean is a six star general in Uncle Sam's Army. Good going, Alvin, you're the first six star genera in the history of the United States. Leo Moyer is a hot rod racer, and because of his outstanding courage hasn't lost a race yet. Darreld Rayl is a space explorer, and he was the first man ever to set foot on the moon. How was the weather up there, Darreld? Jean Deitz is a big game hunter in Africa. She is one of the most successful big game hunters America has ever turned out. She is forever telling us about the wolves in Africa. Wanda Holman is a lady wrestlers and from what I hear, she's nothing short of spectacular. If she is unable to lick her opponent, her manager, Virginia McCoy, leaps- into the ring and lends her a hand. There is one in our midst who has lived up to what we expected of him. John Hallberg is his name. He is one of the most popular movie actors of our time. In his most recent picture he is co-starred with Gerri-lou Henderson in a stirring film, 'The Price of a Lollipop . I am sure you will all want to see this movie. It won a Harvey, you know. Another member of the class who was quite successful is Darlene Netz. She is a tight rope walker for the Pharnam Phaley Circus. Perhaps the most successful one from ourclass is Gary Noble. I-le and his wife, the former Rochelle Ben- nett, are the proprietors of a flea circus. This little circus is one of the biggest in the world and also one of the most valuable, employing nearly a dozen dogs. Carl Chastain is head brush salesman for the Campbell Brush Company, owned by Lois Campbell. All I have to say about the rest of the class is, 'keep scratchin' kids! and I know you will reach the top. 3 1
