The purpose of the F.T.A. is to give students who are planning to enter the field of teaching some experience in their expected vocation. Therefore, members were assigned various teachers who they were to help by grading papers, tutoring, and sometimes teaching classes. One day was set aside for each member to actually teach the classes of his assigned teacher. For each duty the members performed, they were given a certain number of points.
