LUIZ- National Honor Society The National Honor Society Although the National Honor Society started with only seven members, the membership was increased to thirty-one, as twenty-four students were chosen to become members on the basis of their leadership, scholarship, character, and service. During the year the Honor Society put on a Christmas assembly, presenting Christmas from both the serious and the light side, and the induction cere- mony, performed before the entire student body. Each month it collects news from various organizations and acti- vities and combines it with other articles of interest to put together a paper for Mapleton teachers and students. This year Shirley Clouser was the Editor-in-Chief and Peg Canfield was her assistant.
