Kurr Harrenburg, Coach Jerry Reese, Copr Jeff Hamilton, Golf Ken Trumble, Cooch Mike Dooher, Marls Valdick. Once again the Lion arhieres had a very successful year. The 198485 school year brought us Southern Michigan Athletic Association championships in Golf, Wrestling, and Boys' Track. We also had district championships in Boys' Baslserball and Baseball. The golf ream under the leadership of Coach Mike Booher had a 16-1 record. Nor only did they capture the league title, bur they also tools first place in regional competition and were tied for 5rh in the stare. Although Cooch Jerry Reese and the boys' baslserboll ream were only ranked second in the SMAA, Lion fans saw many exciting games as the ream ended up with on overall 17-7 record. They did however, capture the disrricr championship title, bearing the Oliver Eagles in a game that won't be forgotten soon. The boys' baseball ream with their coach, Larry Lenz, end- ed the season with an overall record of 18 wins, 4 losses They too, only held second place in the league, bur did an outstand- ing job winning the disrricr championship title. Chuds Reid was this year's coach for the boys' track ream. They had a busy and exciting season, running in the race for the SMAA championship. They did earn the title at the league meer in Bellevue, and also had seven members attending the store track meer. Coach Chris Ricketts and captains Ken Trumble and John Forell led the Lion wrestlers to an SMAA Championship with a record of 10 wins. 1 loss. Ken compered or the stare meer raising 5th place.
