National Honors Society Moving Up First Row: Kim Hosey, Sonja Pike, Kelly Hamilton, Angie Webb, Karen Curd, Kathy Shaw, Celia Eaton, Eric Wolff, Robin Dickinson, Mrs. Martin (advisor), Julie Dormer, Nancy Wolever. Third Row: Rodney Codbey, Tim Ostergren, Ross Nichols, Charlie Kalanbach, Cindy Brumm. This year the National Honor Society got a late start getting underway because there was no advi- sor. But Mrs. Lucinda Martin volunteered. This year the Honor Society had a stand at the Syrup Festival selling helium balloons and grab bags to raise money for the General Educational Fund. They also sold Mother's Day flowers. The Honors reception was served by the National Honor Society. They were also in charge of getting flowers for the program. The lines in the parking lot are to be painted this summer. The National Honor Society paid 155 dol- lars for this to be done. Also they hosted the Edu- cational open house held May 21 at the high school. On June 9 the National Honor Society will have a swimming party to celebrate all their accomplishments. 13
