MARCHI G BAN ANf'Wl00'f-' . The 1987. Marching Band and Bandfront had a wonderful season to say the least. Their halftime routines consisted of favorites such as UBlacktSaddles ,iutiving on a Prayer , Bliinal Countdownn, lf,Mean Green Mother FromgOuter Space , and TlAmerican South . All the members of both the band and band- front enjoyed the football games, parades, pep rallies,and other activities that they participated in. They also have enjoyed their final season wearing theseuniforms. Tune-innext year to see their new look. This year's band was led by freshman Sam Luterotti who successfully guided the band through all kinds of turbulent weather. The band is also famous for its other tunes as like l'The Strippern, llBasin Street Blues , and llNotre Dame , used to boost the team's spirit. Next year, with their new look, the Maple Shade Band will be even more spectacular! Taking time out to relax is Mr. Van Horn. Best Performance The 1987-1988 concert band, as directed by Gary Van Horn, had performed their best this year. In their winter concert they played a wide range of songs such as 'Deck the Halls and 'All That lazz , 'Holiday Sleigh Ride , and tLet's All Sing For Christmas . The audience had ta chance to sing along with chorus while the band played. ln the spring concert band played songs such as lll've Got Rhythm and lXSilver Crest lvtarchf' which were two of the audiences' favorites. Mr. Cary Van Horn believes that this year he had taught the most talentedgroup he has ever received. At all the football games, the band and bandfront support the team and has a lot of fun doing so.
