S ANISH CLUB Tests of Culture Becoming a part of the Spanish Club at Maple Shade High School gives you a taste of Spanish culture. This year, the club's President and Vice President are luniors Rachael Theilbault and Philip Brennan, respectively. Debbie Snyder, also a lunior, is the club secretary, and Senior jennifer Shaw holds the purse strings. Keeping active this year, the Spanish Club held their holiday luncheon in December. lt was a big success. Secretary Debbie Snyder commented lllt was an en- joyable time for all that attended since we all share a common interest. Le C ercle Francais llBonjour Class, is the vvay Ms. Stember, the French Club advisor, greets each class every day. The French Club is not just another club, it does a lot of exciting things. This year the club started a new project, a French Newspaper with different articles, jokes, sto- ries, Chere CDearj Abby and exquisite French recipes. The club also sells cakes throughout the year and carnations for Valentines Day and St. Patrick's Day. The money is raised for scholarships, and if enough is saved for the members of the club, for an elaborate dinner at a luxurious French restaurant. The club also sponsors pen-pals throughout the world, so that there is an understanding about the different cultures and customs. That's what it is all about.
