estling Struggling to free himself, a Delran wres- tler hugs the mat. lt wasn't at all unusual to see the opposition in such a prone posi- tion. Strength, Spirit, and Skill llVVe can win pin'em, and we can vvin'em . That could have been this year's wrestling team's slogan. The 1988 season savv a vastly improved team and a truly successful 10 and 8 record. The wrestling team began their season by conditioning. Every day after school they could be seen running around the auditorium forty times. Paul Ackerman at 103, Anthony Moffa at 135, Craig Schaal at 140, Scott Worthington at 145 and Marc Pas- ciullo at 171 had outstanding records. Mr. Schuld, varsity coach, who was voted coach of the year, did a com- mendable job in preparing and instructing the wrestlers. Mr. Walsh and Mr. Klaus coached IV and freshmen. Strength, spirit and skill led to a great season. it ,f'Qff 1 s... J I-lolziiiggnhisiopponentytfirmiyiiiisitifjunigffiTam l,it 5,5 'fgfijff sg,. Bo ling Bowling Team Strikes Again! As scorekeeper for the day, Hee Sook Kang carefully adds a teammate's score to the sheet. Keeping score isn't as hard as it looks. This year's bowling team was out to STRIKE once again! Along with our regular bowlers, there were a lot of new faces on the team who gave it their best shot. Traveling from alley to alley aided in a lot of excitement with the players, as they competed with other teams in several games and tournaments. Our team had a lot of potential and proved this with an excellent season. A faithful and dedicated coach, Mr. Foulkes helped out a great deal in guiding the bowlers with their bowling techniques. Each player had individual help in perfecting her skills to meet the needs of the team. The team had excellent spirit, which added to its success. As a result of unremitting dedication and desire, the team finished with an excellent record, leaving JV practically undefeated. ii.. s.t.i .
