Being a track athlet requires timing, agility and quick thinking. Luckily, we had athletes wit these qualities leading our team. Senior captains Dave Connelly, lim Nolt and lim Rolke helped the team move ahead in the ranks. The year ende in a 4-4 record along with a few very close meets and a few disappointin cancellations. lim Nolte broke three school records in 1987, including th mile, the 800, and the pole vault. Although lim and the other seniors w not be there with the team in 1988, with the return of a few trac veterans and some new talent in a few key positions, the team should d extremely well in 1988. Leaping with all might, senior Rocco Prate gives his all in this jump. Rocco was a great asset in the hurdlers as well as the long jump. 35

Ac a little friendly competition, a few difficult holes and you have a gc match at its best. Although the game itself can be frustrating at times, the fruits diligence are shown as the match concludes. Even though golf m. not be as rigorous as other spring sports, it is certainly just as mul fun as any of them. Thanks to our team, the golf tradition lives on Maple Shade . . .
