Softball Spirit Most people think softball is the equivalent to baseball, but easier. l not, in fact, many people think it could be even harder, especially w Miss Korch as a coach. Though she is a tough coach, she can really ca about her team. With a record like 2-10 for JV, they didn't have a very successful ye but they kept the famous l'Shader's spirit. Freshman players like Laura Borgia and Linda Wrigley showed mu promise. They lost a very valuable player, Kim Barnebei, due to ma injuries. She still showed up to many of the team's games. lt's spirit li Kim's that makes the Wildcats widely appreciated. Varsity players lt Geisenheimer and Tina Smith will be missed, but Debbie Pearson, freshman on Varsity, may prove to be a very valuable player. Hey! I've got this play made in the glove! jennifer Socha is having a great time, and it looks as if she's been caught in one of those moments in sports. A Bright Future Another year of LaCrosse has gone by. We received a nex coach, Mrs. Knowls. She introduced LaCrosse to many new player who have attempted to make this a winning season. Throughot the season Sophomores Jeanne Keefer and Michele VVorthingto showed their stuff as lV and Varsity centers. Freshman Elaine McHal also showed a lot of skill by making varsity. One major problem c the season was a lack of goalies. len Stuart became Varsity goalie while IV was tossed around by Chrissy Kuni, Carol Pleiss and Eu Sook Kang. They all did well. With many new and enthusiastic players, the future looks ver bright for the Maple Shade LaCrosse team. B 532
