Homecoming Week Rouses Maple Spirit Our school spirit week, held the week before the Midpark homecom- ing football game, was highlighted by a lively queen campaign along with various spirit-showing contests. Thurs- day night before the game was the night of the parade, the pep rally at Stafford Stadium, and the bonfire. The parade began at the high school. There were five floats which were also displayed at the game, and numerous decorated cars. Twirling and cheer- leading contests were held at the pep rally, which dissolved when the bon- fire was lit on the practice field. The pep band was present throughout the busy evening. The next day a rousing pep assembly was held during school. That night at the game Kathy Cuttaia was crowned Homecoming queen. Fi- nally, on Saturday night, the Home- coming dance, featuring the Sensa- tions, wrapped up a good week for Maple fans. Led by the maiorettes, the pep band does a little fancy stepping to Tea for Two. The cheerleaders, maiorettes and the pep band combine to entertain the faaantastic crowd.
